There is a battle to be fought, souls to be saved, and it is you and I who are called to the front lines to fight for victory against the enemy.

However, as human beings with weaknesses, this is not a battle we can fight on our own. As any good soldier would do, we must train and armor ourselves for protection and safety during the fight.

“Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground.” // Ephesians 6: 11-13

It is important to arm ourselves with prayer, and the Madonna has given us the Rosary for protection and comfort during our toughest battles. Building the Rosary into your daily routine allows you to practice perseverance and discipline. It takes courage to place your trust in the Lord, but in offering your intentions to the Madonna, she can bring them to her Son, strengthening you for the fight.

The Magnificat Rosalet® is both a stunning bracelet and prayerful Rosary that can be worn at all times, ensuring protection against the evil one. There are styles for both men and women, in both traditional and modern designs.

Tomorrow, September 29, we celebrate the feast of the Archangels: St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael. These three archangels are venerated as protectors of the church and stand as role models to us as we continue the fight here on Earth.

St. Michael was the archangel who fought against Satan and his evil angels. He is the protector of all humanity, and we specifically ask for his intercession to defend us in battle. St. Gabriel announced to Zechariah the birth of his son, John the Baptist, and to Mary, the birth of her son, Jesus. St. Gabriel greeted Mary at the annunciation with “Hail, full of grace,” which is the beginning of the Hail Mary prayer. And finally, St. Raphael is the archangel who healed Tobias from blindness and delivered Sarah from the demon.

We ask for these powerful archangels’ intercession as we pray,

Heavenly King, You have given us archangels
to assist us during our pilgrimage on earth.
Saint Michael is our protector;
I ask him to come to my aid,
fight for all my loved ones,
and protect us from danger.
Saint Gabriel is a messenger of the Good News;
I ask him to help me clearly hear Your voice
and to teach me the truth.
Saint Raphael is the healing angel;
I ask him to take my need for healing
and that of everyone I know,
lift it up to Your throne of grace
and deliver back to us the gift of recovery.
Help us, O Lord, to realize more fully the reality of the archangels
and their desire to serve us.
Holy angels, pray for us.
Amen.
