9/11 Remembrance Rosary

The 9/11 Remembrance Rosary is a Ghirelli® creation dedicated to the memory of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City, honoring the lives lost and the faith, courage, and hope that emerged from tragedy.
Inspired by the powerful images of Ground Zero, the Rosary brings together symbols of suffering, remembrance, and Resurrection. The Crucifix faithfully reproduces the Ground Zero Cross, discovered among the ruins of the World Trade Center, while the centerpiece presents Christ rising triumphantly from the rubble, proclaiming the Christian hope that life and love ultimately overcome death.
The bronze beads bearing the initials of the 50 United States recall the unity of a nation in mourning, while the Miraculous Medal beads introduce Mary's maternal intercession into this prayer of remembrance.
Together, these elements create a Rosary centered on remembrance, prayer for the victims and their families, faith, national unity, Divine Mercy, the Resurrection, and hope in the face of suffering.
The Ghirelli® signature branding bar completes the Rosary as a mark of authenticity and Made in Italy craftsmanship.

The Crucifix is a detailed reproduction of the Ground Zero Cross, the cross-shaped steel beams discovered among the ruins of the World Trade Center following the September 11 attacks.
Its distinctive design combines a bronze-finished Cross with a silver hand-painted representation of salvaged sheet metal, recalling the fragments of the destroyed Twin Towers.
The composition transforms a symbol of devastation into a powerful expression of faith, resilience, remembrance, and hope.

The centerpiece presents a deeply symbolic image of Jesus Christ rising triumphantly from the ruins of the Twin Towers.
The Body of Christ is carefully hand-painted in silver, while the surrounding rubble is finished in bronze, creating a striking contrast between the destruction of the Towers and the hope of the Resurrection.
The image expresses the Christian conviction that even in the darkest moments of human suffering, Christ offers the promise of eternal life and victory over death.

The Rosary features two distinctive types of 8 × 6 mm bronze medal beads, each carrying a special meaning.
The Hail Mary positions are marked by bronze beads bearing the initials of the 50 United States of America, recalling the unity of the nation and its shared remembrance of September 11.
The Our Father positions feature 8 × 6 mm bronze Miraculous Medal beads, bringing devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and her maternal intercession into the prayer.
Together, these elements unite national remembrance and Marian devotion in a meaningful Rosary dedicated to prayer and hope.

The Rosary combines antique silver and bronze finishes, creating a distinctive two-tone composition inspired by the steel and ruins of Ground Zero.
Hand-painted silver details emphasize the Crucifix and Resurrection centerpiece, reinforcing the symbolism of remembrance and renewal.

Presented in a compact commemorative pouch, featuring graphics and words recalling the events of September 11, 2001. The Rosary is accompanied by a special explanatory brochure detailing the symbolism of its individual components, including an introduction by Father Andrew Apostoli. The presentation completes this Rosary as a meaningful devotional tribute to remembrance, faith, and the enduring hope of the Resurrection.
